Job Description
Our Network division is an integral cog in the wheel that keeps our company moving, and in order for us to push forward at the pace we are, it’s essential that our local office network equipment is managed and maintained efficiently. This is where we need you.
Although you’ll be based in one of our regional offices, you’ll be supporting with the installation and maintenance for all of our offices, alongside the rest of our IT team.
Some of the things you’ll look after day to day are:
• Setting up monitoring for key systems as they deploy – with alerts to the Service Desk
• Updating our software asset management when inventory items are installed at sites, or moved to new offices
• Offering break fix support to site staff (remotely and on-site)
Skills :
You’ll already have some on-site support and general networking experience, working to tight deadlines, using your proactive and technical mindset to provide support and help resolve issues across our offices.
This is a people facing role and you’ll be interacting daily with your peers across the company, so it’s really important that you have strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to confidently communicate with people at all levels.
Some of the other key skills you’ll need are:
• Cabling installation, patching, cable management and rack management
• Basic office firewall routing
• Managed/unmanaged switch installation and configuration
• Ticket management systems such as Fresh Service or Jira
• Site to Site VPN tunnelling
