My client runs a fleet of 25 light commercial vehicles (mainly 3.5tonne)and they specialise in collecting and disposing of clinical waste, servicing washroom facilities and delivering of hygiene and janitorial products throughout the Midlands and some surrounding areas.
They are looking for a highly motivated Transport Planner to join their extremely busy and friendly team. You will work in the Transport and Distribution office, working closely with the Warehouse Supervisor and Operations Manager.

Hours of work: Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm.

As an experienced Transport Planner your duties will involve:

. Planning various routes around the Midlands, including waste disposal.
. Oversee and create the weekly planner, making changes where needed.
. The Transport Planner will be liaising with and briefing drivers.
. My client is also ideally looking for someone with ADR knowledge.
. Problem solving, reducing fuel and other overhead costs.
. Adhering to Health & Safety procedures, ensuring the vehicles are running within legal limits.
. Monitoring drivers performance and dealing with one to ones where needed.
. You will need previous Transport Planning experience, with knowledge of Word, Excel and CRM systems.
. My client is looking for someone who doesn''t mind working under pressure, with a can-do attitude.

Skills :

You will need at least two years Transport Planning experience and if you have experience in the Clinical Waste/Hygiene sector then my client would be really excited!
