Job Description

Would you like to work in the centre of Birmingham at the jewellery Quarter?

We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and confident person to join our team. We are a manufacturer of
orders, decorations, medals, state insignia, bespoke jewellery and personalised gifts with a global client base.

The role of Production Progressor is an essential link between the administration office, factory floor, and suppliers.
As Production Progressor you will positively contribute to ensure the smooth running of processes within the
business, reporting to both the Office Manager & Production Manager.

Some of the tasks you’ll be expected to fulfil but not limited to are –
• Progressing all works orders to their next process whilst paying diligence within quality control. This will
require a high level of organisation.

• Liaising with and building relationships with our valued suppliers through ordering of materials – this
includes all metals, fittings, consumables and specific components which will be advised within works order
detail. There will be an expectation to source best price with good quality, we generally have a supplier base
that we are happy with but on the rare occasion we require to replace a supplier this would be your remit.

• To actively participate in weekly meetings whereby updates on current orders are discussed and tracked. To
work with and highlight to the Production Manager any urgent/ overdue works orders within the factory.

• To build knowledge of product base and quality expectations and apply this to the role as experience is
gained.

• Understanding our works order system and completing any missing information to aid re-costing and
ordering.

• Daily Deliveries and collections, tying up the relevant paperwork, majority of these are local but some are
within a 15-20 mile radius, on site vehicle use.

• To use basic MS software – Outlook, Word, Excel to book out items and to also keep track of the overdue
report.

• Other duties include completing relevant paperwork for the post office & assay office for pick up and
collection.

• When available you will also assist within the warehouse, answering incoming calls when required.
As a representative of the company you will be required to interact with our suppliers and on occasion our customer
base, therefore a pleasant and helpful manor is essential.

Full on the job training will be given for all processes however it is essential that you have past administration
experience & hold a full and current UK driving licence.
