Job Description
Based in the West Bromwich area of the midlands, our client is recruiting for a suitable candidate to join the Goods In department. A busy manufacturing business, this role will plays an integral part in ensuring production targets are met on time. The main purpose of this role is to receive, distribute and control products and supplies that the various departments within the company require.
To support and liaise with other departments and customers to ensure clear and concise communication at all times.
Duties will include:
Control the incoming deliveries of materials, consumables, and products. Ensuring the deliveries match the delivery notes.
Raise any issues with the deliveries to the Materials Manager immediately.
Load all deliveries into the correct stock locations in a timely manner.
Oversee and monitor the stock control system
Completing weekly stock checks and entering data with accuracy
Safe moving of materials and stock throughout the shop floor and warehouse environments, using a Forklift Truck, Pallet Truck and/or manually when required.
Comply with all Company Health, Safety and Environmental policies and appropriate Risk Assessments.
Carry out final checks as required on goods ready for delivery.
Ensure recycling is carried out to agreed standard.
Keep workstations and factory clean, tidy and organised.
Raise any quality issues with a supervisor/manager.
Support and assist with any continuous improvement projects.
Undertake any relevant training required.
Complete any other reasonable additional duties as requested by management / Supervisors.
This is a hands on role to ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard and efficiently.

Skills :
Previous Goods In experience is an advantage.
A valid FLT C/B Licence is an advantage but is not essential.
Excellent communication skills.
Must be computer literate - training of in-house system will be provided.
