Job Description
Reporting into the Management team, you will be required to create and action the departmental plan in line with the needs of the business. Ensuring that production targets are met within agreed deadlines, making best use of resources and materials.
Being responsible for the workflow by creating a work schedule, delegating tasks to team members and ensuring they understand the tasks and directing the team to ensure all items are manufactured to the required quality standard and are completed on time is essential.
Other duties will include:
Monitoring employee productivity, coaching team members and providing constructive feedback where needed. Training and supporting new employees to ensure they have the required skills and knowledge to fulfil their role.
Assist in ensuring the correct staffing levels, with the right people in the right places.
Highlight any potential issues with the production plan (no materials etc).
Raise any maintenance issues to maintenance or management.
Follow all Health and Safety rules and policies.
Support and assist with any continuous improvement projects.
Occasional site visits when required to understand and correct faulty products.
Support with any projects, resolution of issues etc.
Liaise with any other department to ensure business requirements are met.
Actively participate in relevant meetings.

Skills :
Previous experience within Aluminium Fabrication and/or Manufacturing is essential.
Experience of team leading or supervising is desired.
Ability to demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of aluminium and various other metal materials.

To be proactive on H & S and enforcing rules of the factory shopfloor. Highlighting issues to the senior management team.
