I have partnered with a group of childrens homes who are looking for people that are passionate about truly making a difference in childrens lives. My client is passionate about providing ongoing training and support, which is why they are able to demonstrate how proud they of of their staff attrition. They''re also extremely proud of their consistently "good" Ofsted rating!
Hours of work: Monday - Friday 9-5pm (but there will need to be some flexibility with covering sleep-ins and additional hours where required.
Location: Derby
You will also receive a performance based bonus on top of your average salary.

As an experienced Deputy Manager your responsibilities will be to assist the Registered Manager in the running of the home and assist in the effective day-to-day running of the residential home, supporting, leading, and managing a team of staff.
You will also be responsible for overseeing the safeguarding and wellbeing of the children.
Oversee care delivery in line with WCG policies, procedures, and the Children’s Home Regulations (England) 2015
Lead by example by providing day-to-day supervision, guidance, and professional development to the staff team.
Promoting, nurturing and maintaining a comfortable and safe home for the children.
Making sure all placement plans are relevant and up to date, whilst offering an open, progressive and nurturing culture.
You will also deputise in the managers absence and provide support with Ofsted inspections.
Also engaging with ongoing training and staff mentoring.
Skills :
You will need to have at least 2 years previous experience of working with children and a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Children and Young People’s Services, or open to working towards this.
