As an experienced Product Quality Approvals Engineer your duties will involve:
. You will be responsible for supporting the wider company and design team and you will have an understanding of the regulatory and legal requirements that impact the companies Technical Construction files.
. The Product Approvals Engineer will assist the Design and Manufacturing teams to identify possible failure modes in products and components through the use of FMEAs and other similar tools.
. You will work with the Design and Logistics teams to ensure that the component parts meet their quality standards and have the essential quality and product approvals authorised.
. Dealing with quality issues and specification/engineering drawings, ECNs and BOMs etc.
. Supporting the introduction of any changed or new products including supporting the design of cell-layouts, reliability testing of production test rigs and creation of process flows and the creation of related Control Plans, PPAP, Work Instructions.
. You will need to have hands on investigation experience and be prepared to occasionally travel overseas to support the product testing process.
Skills :
You will need to have a HNC/HND or above in electronics or electrical engineering with experience of an electronics manufacturing or design environment. You will also need to have extensive experience of gaining Product Approvals/Certifications in the UK. Experience of Safety, EMC, Radio and environmental testing.
