Job Description
You will be working for a successful, European Manufacturer based in Tamworth, who are looking to expand their UK based Marketing team. The successful Events Assistant will be working as part of an established and welcoming Marketing team within an extremely progressive and friendly office. My client has a presence in 44 countries, but they still continue to thrive and they have ambitions to continue with their growth.
You will also have the opportunity to work from home one day each week once you have completed your training period. Because there is travelling involved you will also receive a company car.
The role of the Events Assistant will involve:
. Responsible for the organisation of exhibitions, sales meetings/conferences and other corporate events.
. As part of this hands-on role, you will manage the planning stage through to setting up and running of events.
. You will be supporting the field sales team with product demonstrations and customer/end user training.
. Managing the inventory of marketing materials, for both events and merchandising activities in the field.
. You will need to have a full drivers license and comfortable driving large vehicles (e.g. long-wheel based vans) when transporting
marketing materials to/from events.
. Also, experience in similar event roles, with hands-on experience at exhibitions and/or merchandising projects (e.g. developing
planograms) is required.
. You will also research venues, suppliers and contractors.
. Supporting the field sales team with necessary marketing materials for trade days/demonstrations.
. Organising photography/video shoots.
. Attending trade days and demonstration mornings with the team.
Skills :
You will need previous Events experience and a driving license as you will also use a tail van to move equipment to exhibitions
