Job Description

My client works with some global recognised brands, where they support premium private-label products in candles, home fragrance, toiletries, décor, and kitchenware. They are a well-established global company who have exciting plans for rapid growth throughout the UK, whilst collaborating with some well recognised household brands and worldwide retailers.

The Merchandise Planner – Wholesale is responsible for developing and executing financial and merchandise plans to drive profitable growth for the wholesale business. This role partners closely with sales, supply chain, buying, and operations teams to ensure that inventory investments align with sales goals, customer demand, and seasonal trends across multiple wholesale accounts.

You will be responsible for analysing sales trends, stock figures, and performance metrics to support budgeting, forecasting, and pricing strategies.
Ensure optimal inventory levels across all wholesale accounts by managing open-to-buy, flow plans, replenishment and propose factory buys.
Also analysing sales, sell-through, and stock performance across accounts to identify risks, opportunities, and action plans
Producing weekly inventory availability reports by Brands for sales teams and assisting with demand forecasts and inventory projections
You will work closely with sales teams and buyers to align product assortments with account strategies and financial targets.
Support pre-season line planning, buy review meetings, and in-season reorders or markdown strategies.
Work closely with Design, Sourcing, Buying, Marketing, and Logistics to ensure seamless handoffs and project execution
You will act as point of contact between suppliers, quality control teams, and logistics
Order Tracking and project follow-up, tracking purchase orders.
Generate reports to inform merchandising decisions and commercial optimisation
Engage with distributors and internal teams across regions for product launches.
You will need previous experience in merchandise planning or allocation experience, preferably in a wholesale environment and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Skills :

You will need to have previous merchandising experience in one of the following sectors: fragrances, candles, homeware, kitchenware, gifts, or a similar retail background, dealing with global brands.
