7.5TN Driver

We are recruiting for an experienced driver to work with our client based in Exeter, Devon. This is a permanent position.

This role does requires the candidate to carry out manual lifting of parts being delivered, where required, assistance will be provided from the end client. Therefore, the suitable candidate must be physically capable of lifting and moving parts and orders to load and unload the vehicle.

Customer service skills are essential as this position will be customer facing and will require interaction and the completion of various delivery notes.

Delivery routes can vary from multi drops locally to existing clients or further afield to other customers. However, the distance of routes will be factored in to ensure that driving times do not exceed daily working hours where possible.

**Please note - Unexpected traffic congestion cannot be predicted so some flexibility is advised.

The suitable candidate will be joining a small and friendly team who all help each other so teamwork is essential as when deliveries are complete, it will be expected and helpful to check in with the team during busy times.

Previous Commercial Driving is Essential, with experience of driving 7.5tn vehicle.

Valid UK C1 driving licence with minimum 12months experience and no more than 3points - previous driving bans or points relating to DR10 or above will not be accepted due to insurance purposes.

Licence must include the C1 category.

Must be over the age of 25 years old due to Insurance requirements.
- Ensure timely and safe delivery of products
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle
- Communicate effectively with the warehouse team
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Adhere to all relevant driving laws and regulations
- Commercial driving license (C1 category)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to drive and manoeuvre vehicles safely
