Purchasing Administrator position in Birmingham
Temporary to Permanent
Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5pm (4pm finish on Fridays)
We are looking for an experienced administrator to join our client as soon as possible. Based in Aston, our client is a plumbing and heating supplier looking to expand their team.
Are you experienced in Administration and are looking to go into Purchasing?
In this position, you will be:
-Chasing Suppliers via phone and email
-Updating delivery information into our purchasing system and into spreadsheets
-Managing the placement of purchase orders whilst monitoring stock and demand
-Sourcing alternative products to satisfy customer needs
-Checking all order acknowledgements using a keen eye for detail
-Looking for new ways to improve supplier performance
-Completing general administrative tasks
We are looking for someone with:
-Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Packages, particularly Excel)
-Communication Skills (including excellent telephone manner)
-The ability to influence
-A positive attitude and a willingness to be flexible
-Good analytical skills
-Experience with MRP/ERP within a purchasing environment (ideal but not necessary)
-25 days holiday
-Permanent position offered immediately for the right candidate
-4pm finish on Fridays

Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (and other microsoft packages) and previous experience in Administration are required, previous experience in Purchasing is ideal.
