My well-established client based in Coventry are seeking an experienced Buyer to join their team on a permanent basis.
A competitive salary of £28,500 - £32,500 is on offer, as well working hours of 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday.
This is a great opportunity to join a business that has been rapidly growing throughout the last year.
The right candidate will:
• Have at least 3 years'' Buyer experience, within a manufacturing environment
• Be confident in using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Sage Line 50 and Sage Manufacturing
• Be a team player, as you will be required to work closely with the Operations Manager, Warehouse Manager and Production Manager
• Have strong negotiating, planning and problem-solving skills
• Have commercial and product awareness, along with the ability to calculate and evaluate data
Duties for this role include:
• Negotiating best products, terms and pricing in the purchase of mainly raw materials
• Building strong trading relationships with suppliers and their supply chains
• Negotiating and completing full contracts of supply
• Ensuring that all products meet the given standards and specifications, ensuring fit for purpose and that high standards are maintained
• Ensuring that raw materials are delivered in good time, in good order and that stock levels are where they need to be to meet production needs
• Monitoring trends, patterns and demand
