Job Description
Our client is currently seeking an experienced Welder Inspector to join their team.
You will be responsible for ensuring all welding and fabrication activities comply with customer specifications, defence industry standards, applicable codes, and company quality management systems.
Key duties
To process Welding Inspection first-off of components in an efficient manner, to verify products meet with approved design data, and quality control requirements
Inspect welding and fabrication activities in accordance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications, standards, and customer requirements
Verify welder qualifications and ensure only approved welding procedures are used
Conduct visual inspections before, during and after welding operations
Exercise the highest degree of discretion and professionalism when dealing with sensitive data and information
Ensure traceability of materials, consumables and inspection records
Complete inspection reports including FAI reports and quality documentation accurately and efficiently
Participate in first article inspections and customer witness inspections
Support internal and external audits
Liaise with Quality supervision to raise non-conformance reports for products that do not conform to specification, and assist with subsequent Root Cause analysis

CSWIP National Accreditation 3.1 essential
CSWIP National Accreditation 3.2 desirable
PCN Level III
• Proven experience, within a metal fabrication and assembly environment on aluminium, steel, and stainless steel. Current experience of working with international regulatory standard; ISO 9001
Proven experience holding a similar position with relevant industries, and engineering environments
Current experience working to ISO 5817, and ISO 10042
Proficient with MS Office suite
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications
Knowledge of health and safety and environmental practices and procedures
