Job Title: Transport Planner / Customer Service Coordinator
Location: Redditch
Hours: 6:00am – 3:00pm Monday to Friday
Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 per annum
HR Employment are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner/Customer Service Coordinator to join their client in Redditch, who are currently going through a period of growth.
This is a varied role combining early-morning transport planning with customer service and support throughout the day. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of transport planning experience, knowledge of pallet networks, and a proven ability to build positive relationships with drivers and customers.
Previous skills and experience needed for the role:
• Minimum 1 year of transport planning experience.
• Previous experience working within pallet networks.
• Proven ability to maintain positive relationships with drivers and customers.
• Strong IT skills (TMS, Microsoft Office, email).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Main duties for the role include:
Transport Planning (6am – 10am)
• Plan and allocate approx. 100–125 pallets across 7–9 vehicles operating locally.
• Ensure efficient routing and accurate load allocation.
• Liaise with drivers to resolve delivery or collection issues.
• Maintain accurate operational records and system updates.
Customer Service (Post-lunch focus)
• Respond to customer enquiries, providing ETAs, PODs, and resolving delivery issues promptly.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and communication with all customers.
• Complete administrative tasks associated with planning and customer support.
