Job Description
We are looking for a candidate that is passionate and driven for an exciting new role based in Ellesmere Port.
This permanent position requires providing and maintaining a high level of building maintenance supporting our client’s sites.
Working closely with management support staff ensuring that the service provided meets the contractual requirements and complies with all current regulations. Ensure all assets are always maintained and in a compliant, functional condition. Ensuring the buildings remain in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Main Duties will include, but not limited to:
- Ensure that the day-to-day planned preventative maintenance activities of building maintenance are completed in line with our contractual obligations.
- Ensure all assets are maintained in accordance with the O&M Manuals and Industry standard requirements.
- Assist in supervising contractors and sub-contractors.
- Ensure that all reactive calls are closed out in line with our contractual time scales.
- Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety legislation and Company policy. (Fire regulations, COSHH, Safe working practices, PPE, etc)
- Ensure all building fabric elements are functional and operational within design parameters and carry out reactive repairs within agreed response and rectification times.
- Supervise other engineers / staff making sure jobs are assigned and completed to a good standard and delivered on time.
- An active member of the on-call Rota to be available outside of core service hours 1 week in every 3 weeks to handle job related activities and emergencies out-of-hours.
- Obtain sub-contractor costs and submit quotes for approval to the customer.
- Be appointed authorised person in the relevant disciplines for site.
- Make sure that the internal system is up to date and jobs are raised and closed out.
- Client facing with key stake holders for the site.
- Be able to become Electrical Appointed Person for LV & HV duties.
- Be able to become Confined spaces Appointed Person.
- Review RAMS and issue safety documentation to supply partners.

Key Skills
- 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations (BS7671) Time served apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of providing service and maintenance on in a commercial environment.
- NVQ or City & Guilds in the following: Electrical Engineer or equivalent
- Be pro-active and have the ability to anticipate and/or diagnose and repair faults.
- Computer Literate.
- Ability to effectively prioritise own workload.
- Pro-active and positive approach to work.
- Provide excellent customer service to building occupants, ensuring they are made aware of work order progress in a timely manner.
- Good understanding of current Health & Safety legislation and its application within role.
- Good knowledge of building Statutory Compliance.
- Able to carry tools and equipment up to 20kg.
- Able to work at height.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Obtain Authorised person status for LV/HV electrical, confined spaces, Mechanical systems.
