Job Description
Our client is a busy automotive manufacturing business producing high spec painted components for a number of tier 1 automotive manufacturers.
We are looking for Entry Level Setters with a basic knowledge of the role and can operate with a minimum level of supervision. The suitable candidate will likely be someone who is in the early career stages and has the intention to progress to become an intermediate Setter.
Duties will include:
• Supporting tool changes under supervision
• Basic safety checks on equipment
• Running / Loading of material under supervision
• Quality inspections under supervision
• Basic planned maintenance under supervision
• Develop understanding of machine settings and parameters
• Assist with pre-setting
• SMED activity under supervision
• Safe systems of work, e.g., LOTO
• Utilising manufacturing execution system
• Production operative duties in the absence of setting duties
Own transport to enable you to reach the Coleshill/Hams Hall area of Birmingham is desirable to accommodate all shift patterns as public transport can be limited to this area.

Skills :
Support operations with the efficient setting of machinery to ensure operational performance targets are achieved.
Basic knowledge and undertaking of a number of tasks under a level of supervision.
• Understanding safe systems of work
• Ability to complete FLT / Crane license, where applicable
• Demonstrable willingness to learn
• Exposure to manufacturing environment (desirable)
