Job Description

The successful candidate will create and update manufacture and assembly drawings for the company’s existing product portfolio. You will also manage the design of bespoke solutions to meet and support our customer’s requirements within the global aviation industry. Alongside this you will manage and publish product user guides and literature associated with the operation of products.
Main Responsibilities:-
Responsible for initial design concepts and mechanical engineering solutions for new products, ensuring customer requirements or specifications are achieved with realistic solutions.
Work closely with the sales team and end user (customer) as and when the requirement arises to create fully customized and bespoke solutions to meet the customer’s desired application. This may require the occasional off site working to support the sales team.
Support production with the re-engineering of existing products to allow continuous improvement and efficiencies improvements, using best engineering practices.
Manage and maintain the drawing database including design change requests, version control and part number database.
Create and update manufacture and assembly drawings for the company’s existing product portfolio of aircraft ground support equipment and tooling lines.
Manage product user guides and literature associated with the operation and use of products.
Create suitable images, animations; 3D renders, 3D models for use with the company’s marketing literature and website.
Support the product development process alongside all company departments to ensure the finished product meets the end user requirements and specifications.
Work autonomous and as part of a team using initiative and a common sense approach to engineering problems and work load.
Providing a keen eye for detail and product styling’s where possible
Always maintaining self-motivation, energy and the drive to complete workloads within designated timescales

Skills :

Degree / qualifications or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Design principles 2D & 3D CAD package experience (ideally Solidworks) is essential Previous experience of working in Engineering Design Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) packages Ability to work from conception through to completion & production stages Knowledge of geometric and engineering dimensions and tolerances Ability to achieve results within set deadlines and quality requirements Solidworks CAD Design
