Job Description
CNC Miller
for a busy Redditch based Toolmaking Company.
Low volume, Small precision components.
Must be skilled in all aspects of CNC work (Programming/Setting/Operating)
To work mainly on a 2 axis XYZ SMX2000 CNC milling, programming offline from 3D models/step files & online using a Siemens Sinumerik controller through to manufacturing/inspecting the part. Also using various 2/3 axis CNC milling machines using conversational programming on Proto-trak & Acurite controllers through to manufacturing/inspecting the part.
Knowledge of CAD/CAM, programming online/offline & from 3D models/Step files would be an advantage.
currently using Bob-Cad software which will be replacing shortly. The new person to be involved with the selection & integration of any new system.
Knowledge of Siemens/Proto-trak/Acurite systems would be an advantage but not essential.
Holidays – 25 days + 8 days bank or public holidays (33 days total)
Wages – Up to £15.35 per hour. (£32K)
Sickness scheme after a 12-month qualifying period.
All overtime paid at time and one half.
Skills :
Knowledge of CNC is essential.
Confident working to drawings.
Self-motivated
Experience on 2/3-axis XYZ machines or similar where it is more conversational programming on a milling machine.
