Stock Control Assistant.

On behalf of our Solihull/Birmingham based client, we are recruiting for a self-motivated candidate to join the Warehouse Dept. as this role will involve stock control duties and manual handling but also preparing customer orders by packaging items securely and accurately. The use of handheld tape dispensers and the ability to work unassisted is essential. You may be required to print delivery notes and other duties as and when required.

The ideal candidate will also have some basic IT skills such as using and operating an internal management system as this may be introduced as part of the role in the future where full training will be given. Working within the Stock department, this role involves day to day physical duties which include lifting, carrying and preparing stock for dispatch. As well as unloading new stock deliveries and locating them correctly into the stores room.

Duties will include:
•Ensure a high level of accuracy is maintained when booking goods in and out of the warehouse stock system.
•Champion for stock accuracy - this includes the weekly high value goods stock check and resolving and correcting any discrepancies.
•Ensuring that the process for dispatch paperwork is followed accurately, including the signing of this paperwork before filing.
•Manage the process for returning stock to the suppliers.
•Reporting daily to the line manager with updates or issues.

Working Monday to Friday 8.30am and 4.45pm.

**This is a long term position and could lead to a permanent contract for the successful person.
